Open to all areas of study at the University of Central Florida 

The Lewis Scholarship is offered to students at the University of Central Florida in Orlando and includes tuition, room and board, books, other education expenses and is renewable up to eight semesters based on good academic standing. 


Open to citizens of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas who have:

  Obtained a high school diploma from a Bahamian secondary school

A demonstrated financial need

Successfully been admitted to University of Central Florida

A : Like University of Central Florida, the scholarship has a rolling deadline. Persons can apply each UCF semester. If attending in the fall, apply by March 1; if attending in the spring, apply by September 1; and if attending in Summer, apply by January 1.


Q : Is the Lewis Scholarship applicable to transfer students?
A : Preference is given to first generation freshman students. However, transfer students may be considered on a case-by-case basis.


Q : Is the Lewis Scholarship applicable to current UCF students?
A : No, the scholarship is applicable to students entering as UCF freshman. More specifically, it is applicable to freshman who demonstrate financial need.

A : No, the scholarship is specific to University of Central Florida.

A : Currently, the scholarship is specific to undergraduate degrees.
